While covering the Grammy Awards last night CBS reporter Serene Branson slurred her words. It caused many to wonder if she was drunk or if there was something seriously wrong with the anchor. Find out exactly what happened that left Serene unable to speak while on air.

Viewers watching Serene Branson, a CBS reporter for Channel 2 in Los Angeles, recap the Grammys were unable to catch a single thing she said. Now I know what you might be thinking perhaps she was hitting the bottle on company time but that might not be the case. It turns out that Serene may have had a stroke while on air, scary right. At this time the following statement has been released by her employer KCBS but that is it cornering details of Branson’s condition.

Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning.

I don’t know about you but that doesn’t really answer the question of what the heck happened to her. I mean she couldn’t speak at all. There are reports saying she could have had a small stroke but if that was the case wouldn’t the doctors at the hospital kept her over night for observation at leas, I’m just sayin.

It is unclear exactly what caused her to have the inability to speak during her report. What we do know is that she is as of now feeling ok and that if you are looking for video footage of the segment good luck it seems CBS has taken down all footage even on their own websites. Max Page, Boy Who Played Darth Vader In Volkswagen Super Bowl Commercial, Unmasks Himself (VIDEO)

It's the Super Bowl commercial everyone is talking about: that Volkswagen ad where a pint-sized Darth Vader attempts to use the Force--and only finds success with a new VW car. But who played Vader? On Monday's "Today" show, he unmasked himself, and was revealed to be...an adorable six-year-old named Max Page. (Who, as many commenters point out, looks a lot like Mark Hamill.)

Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira were suitably impressed, and even got Page to use his powers to lower part of the "Today" set. Page's mother said that he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect when he was just a few months old, and now uses a pacemaker. Page also said that he's never even seen any "Star Wars" movies.

Black Eyed Peas perform at Super Bowl Video XLV Halftime Show: Missing the feeling

In theory, the Black Eyed Peas are the perfect band to play at the Super Bowl halftime show. They’re glitzy, entertaining, and it’s hard to believe that any sporting event of the last five years hasn’t played a song by the group at some point during play. Yet, they seemed to fall short during the halftime show — standing up in front of a live crowd of more than 100,000 people, the Black Eyed Peas seemed… well, as small as peas themselves. The dancers surrounding them might have had to adhere to strict choreography, but the Peas, merely standing next to each other in a line, looked awkward, as if they didn’t have a concrete plan for what would happen after they descended from the sky (a cool effect, I’ll admit) at the beginning of the show. No matter how many awesome LED effects they could distract us with, you couldn’t mistake the fact that we were watching a small pack of four musicians — with plenty of sound problems.

The foursome began singing their feel-good hit, “I Gotta Feeling” and were quickly set off-balance as soon as Fergie’s mic cut off as she began her portion of the song. They followed up with a shrug-worthy “Boom Boom Pow,” and then shifted gears a tad: Out came Slash, playing “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” (The Super Bowl halftime show isn’t the Super Bowl halftime show without an aging rock star!) The guitarist, however, did add some much-needed musicality to the event — that is, until Fergie began singing. As stellar a vocalist the Black Eyes Peas singer might be, classic rock certainly is not her strong suit.

Then came “Pump It” and “Let’s Get It Started,” but the Black Eyed Peas didn’t quite hit their stride, strangely enough, until they began the politically-charged “Where Is the Love,” performed against the backdrop of Valentine’s Day-appropriate red hearts that experienced some technical difficulties of their own — part of that pesky “V” refused to light up. (And, surprise surprise, will.i.am changed the lyrics to the tune during the show.) Usher came along to play as well, handling his “OMG” song-and-dance routine much better than he has in previous live performances. And, shockingly, the band sounded best performing what might just be their worst song to date, “The Time (Dirty Bit).”

J.J. Abrams’ next mysterious monster movie project, Super 8, is on its way, and although the film secured a spot on the list of Screen Rant’s 20 most anticipated films of 2011, we still know very little about it.

The first Super 8 trailer was more of a concept teaser and it was created before the film even began casting. Outside of the teaser and some set footage, all we’ve had is rumors and speculation, some involving what the Super 8 monster may look like. With the advent of Super Bowl XLV this weekend, one of the many major movie TV spots/trailers is for Super 8 and it has given us our first real look into Abrams’ 1970s-based sci-fi thriller.


The trailer sure looks interesting and I’m sure Abrams will again benefit through word-of-mouth, but I really wish they took advantage of this opportunity to offer some sort of prequel story to Cloverfield… or is that exactly what they’re doing, despite claims that this has nothing to do with that film?

Super 8 features a cast of relatively unknown young actors and is written and directed by J.J. Abrams himself.

Marquis Daniels Injury: Celtics Reserve Suffers Neck Injury Against Magic (VIDEO)

Boston's Marquis Daniels collided with Orlando's Gilbert Arenas in the second quarter of Sunday's game at TD Garden and immediately fell to the ground.

Daniels' face appeared to hit Arenas' arm and snap to the right after attempting to drive to the basket. He collapsed face-first and was motionless, but his eyes were open and he was conscious.

The 30-year-old was taken off the floor on a stretcher and brought to the nearby New England Baptist Hosptial. He gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he left the stadium.

Vikings' Williams named Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year

Announced during Sunday's Super Bowl pregame festivities, Minnesota Vikings S Madieu Williams has been named the 2010 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. One of three finalists for the award that recognizes a player's off-the-field community service as well as his playing excellence, Williams is only the second Viking to win the award since its inception in 1970 and the first since WR Cris Carter earned the honor in 1999. Williams, currently in the Persian Gulf visiting U.S. service members, will receive $20,000 toward his favorite charity.

"It is a tremendous honor to win this award named after Walter Payton, one of the greatest men to ever play in the National Football League," said Williams. "I'm sorry I couldn't be there to accept the award, but it's an even greater honor to be here in Iraq with Task Force Iron Horse on a goodwill tour watching the Super Bowl with our troops."

A seven-year NFL veteran and Sierra Leone native, Williams has extended his helping hand to those near and far since moving to the United States. The Vikings' free safety made global headlines when he made a generous donation to create The Madieu Williams Center for Global Health that is affiliated with the University of Maryland. The center was built to focus on the public health issues in Prince George's County and Sierra Leone, his birthplace. Williams has already funded the construction of one school in his homeland and currently a second school is in the process of being built. Madieu's foundation sponsored a mission to Sierra Leone that flew American teachers, dentists and surgeons to help educate the teachers at his school, give free dental cleanings to all of the students and provide free surgeries.

"It is a tremendous honor that Madieu has been named the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year," said Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier. "It is quite an accomplishment and one that is well deserved. Madieu is a person that cares about people. He is not your prototypical pro athlete by any means. The fact that he is still taking trips and helping others that are less fortunate says a lot about Madieu. He has no other motivation other than to see someone else's life become better that what it currently is. He is a rare person."

Since joining the Vikings in 2008, Williams has left his mark on the Twin Cities community. He is involved with the North Community YMCA, the United Way and Harvest Prep/Seed Academy. He also provides season tickets for kids in his "Dieu's Crew" program. During the 2010 season, Madieu was named the Vikings Community Man of the Year.

"When Madieu signed here as a free-agent, before he caught his plane home, he asked to visit the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital," said Vikings Executive Director of Community Relations Brad Madson. "Right then I knew he was a special man. It's been a privilege to see Madieu embrace our local community through his work with the North Community YMCA and Harvest Preparatory/Seed Academy, but globally, the great works he has done and is doing in Sierra Leone will leave a legacy long after Madieu is done playing football."

Williams' charitable efforts have followed him since his college days at Maryland. He still hosts a free football camp and fundraiser weekend in Maryland, where he was raised after leaving Sierra Leone at the age of nine. Originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft, Williams also continues to give back to the Cincinnati community.

"From the day I first met Madieu I could tell there was a fire inside of him. He is a quiet and humble young man that is not attention seeking," said Gloria Friedgen, Coordinator of Alumni Affairs and Outreach at the University of Maryland. "I am so proud to see Madieu receive the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. He is truly leaving his mark on the world."

On the field, Williams' stabilizing ability in the Vikings defensive backfield has helped the club rank in the top 10 in NFL defenses each of his three seasons in Minnesota. The 2010 season marked a career-high for Williams as he notched 96 tackles, fifth-best on the team. He also helped the Vikings win back-to-back NFC North titles in 2008 and 2009. During the Vikings run to the NFC Championship game in 2009, Williams started every game. A full-time starter since he arrived in Minnesota, Williams has opened 38 of the 39 games he has played for the Vikings and all three playoff games he has been part of. For his career, he has played in 88 games with 83 starts.

The five-time Grammy award winning singer will be making an encore at the NFL championship. She was part of the halftime show during the 2000 Super Bowl.
The NFL and Fox made the announcement Monday.
Other stars to have sung the national anthem at the Super Bowl include Carrie Underwood, Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Neil Diamond, Mariah Carey and Beyonce Knowles.

The previously announced halftime show will feature The Black Eyed Peas.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Green Bay Packers at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the NFL title.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) delivered her own rebuttal to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday night despite Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) being tapped to give the official Republican response (video below).

Bachmann suggested she's "not in competition with Paul Ryan," according to CNN.

After the $700 billion bailout, the trillion-dollar stimulus, and the massive budget bill with over 9,000 earmarks that the President signed, many of you implored Washington to please stop spending money we don't have.

But, instead of cutting, we saw an unprecedented explosion of government spending and debt at President Obama's direction; unlike anything we have seen in the history of our country.

For two years President Obama made promises... He claimed that he would find solutions to fix our economy and help create jobs.

Well, here are a few suggestions:

The President could stop the EPA from imposing a job-destroying cap-and-trade system.

The President could agree with House Republicans and commit himself to signing a Balanced Budget Amendment.

The President could also agree to an all-of-the-above energy policy whereby we increase American energy production, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, reduce the price of gas at the pump, and create good-paying jobs in the U.S.

The President could turn back some of the 132 regulations put in place in the last two years that each have an impact of $100-million or more on our economy.

Thanks to all of you, there's reason to hope that real spending cuts are coming. Last November many of you went to the polls and voted out big-spending politicians and you put in their place men and women who have come to Washington with a commitment to follow the Constitution and cut the size of government. And I believe that we are in the early days of a history-making turn here in the House of Representatives.

Last week we voted to repeal ObamaCare, and each day going forward, we must work hard to dismantle the massive government expansion that has happened over the past two years.

Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping Video

Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Jr., 20-month-old son of the famous aviator and Anne Morrow Lindbergh, was kidnapped about 9:00 p.m., on March 1, 1932, from the nursery on the second floor of the Lindbergh home near Hopewell, New Jersey. The child's absence was discovered and reported to his parents, who were then at home, at approximately 10:00 p.m. by the child's nurse, Betty Gow. A search of the premises was immediately made and a ransom note demanding $50,000 was found on the nursery window sill. After the Hopewell police were notified, the report was telephoned to the New Jersey State Police, who assumed charge of the investigation.

Lindbergh baby's wanted posterDuring the search at the kidnapping scene, traces of mud were found on the floor of the nursery. Footprints, impossible to measure, were found under the nursery window. Two sections of the ladder had been used in reaching the window, one of the two sections was split or broken where it joined the other, indicating that the ladder had broken during the ascent or descent. There were no blood stains in or about the nursery, nor were there any fingerprints.

Mexico resort barred ambulances after fatal blast Video

Security kept ambulances from entering a Mexican resort following a deadly explosion last November, preventing emergency workers from rendering aid in the crucial first minutes after the blast, CBC News has learned.

The powerful explosion on Nov. 14 ripped through a small lobby of the Grand Riviera Princess hotel in Playa del Carmen, killing two Mexican workers and five Canadian tourists. Officials initially blamed swamp gas, but later determined a leaking gas line was to blame.

After cancelling a scheduled interview and following repeated interview requests, hotel officials sent an email to CBC News late Monday denying they had barred the ambulances from entering and saying it took ambulances 18 minutes to reach the facility.

Four people may face criminal charges in the homicide investigation, state officials say.

Eight emergency calls made following the blast reveal that hotel security barred ambulances and police from entering the expansive resort complex, stranding them outside the front gate located about a kilometre from the blast site. At the same time, hotel staff and guests struggled to treat the wounded with limited supplies and expertise.

No one knows the precise minute of the blast, but it is believed to be about 9:10 a.m.

The first emergency call to 066 — the Mexican equivalent of 911— came in at 9:24 a.m., reporting a kitchen fire. Five other calls requesting ambulances follow.

At 9:41 a.m., about 17 minutes after the initial call, a police officer says ambulances are not being allowed on site by the security guard, who is unaware of any "event."

Steve Harvey’s Ex Wife: Steve Harvey Cheater, Left her Homeless? (Video)

Steve Harvey’s ex-wife, Mary Harvey, posted three videos this weekend in which she went on the attack, calling her former spouse a habitual cheater, who took their son Wynton and left her with nothing.

In one of the videos (posted below), Mary Harvey claims, “He took my Wynton from me; he turned my son against me; had me evicted; thrown out.”

The former Mrs. Harvey says the comedian, who’s written books on relationships, including “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man,” was a serial cheater who had an affair with Marjorie Bridges while they were still married.

Steve and Mary Harvey divorced in 2005, and then two years later the “Family Feud” host wed Bridges.

Harvey’s attorney, Bobbie Edmonds, calls Mary’s allegations, “False, misleading, derogatory, disparaging, malicious, explicit and slanderous,” and notes that there are court orders prohibiting both parties from “discussing and releasing information [about their divorce] on the Internet and to the media. We are taking the necessary legal steps to rectify this matter to the full extent of the law.”

Mary Harvey says she’s only speaking now because her ex-husband recently sued her, alleging she was “responsible when Oprah did not give him a TV show.”

She also claims she’s being vocal because her name keeps popping up in stories about her famous ex. “To keep seeing my name referenced when talking about his life – that part of it, I don’t understand,” she says.
