There may not be a logical reason as to why your wife got an RFE for Medical and not you.
I had a similar situation. I got an RFE for photos for AP application. But my wife did not get one. We had both got our pictures taken and processed at the same location. There was no issue with quality of photo either.
Now we both have our AP. I do not care why she did not get an RFE.
Maybe if you explain the details of the RFE someone may be able to discuss about it.

Pappu - Can we also ask all the users to update the amount of taxes they've paid in 2008 (now that everyone is filing for their returns)? There seems to be a negative campaign against us that somehow we don't need to pay taxes and we are a burden on local entities.
Also, if possible, can we track how many of us are willingly capable of purchasing a home as a bargain chip for GC. I believe that we are capable of stimulating this economy and it'll be for everyones good, including US Citizens.

"Temporary Workers" have to pay not only Federal and State taxes, but Medicare and Social Security taxes too, which for a true temporary worker is just a donation for who live or will live permanently in the US.
It is a double standard. You are a temporary worker with limited rights, but when question of paying taxes comes, IRS considers H1, L1 etc. as "US Person", which means they have to declare their world income and pay taxes to the US govenment on all of it. Moreover, if you don't contribute to SS for 40 quarters (10 years), you get nothing back when you retire. You pay for Medicare, but will get nothing unless you are a legal resident when you are eligible for medicare.

Many of us came here because an American University admitted us and sent us invitation (aka I20) to attend the program and many are working here because american companies invited us and sponsored our work documents and pays us very well at par with other knowledge workers. The company and industry we work in, needs our skills (even in this recession) and that's why we are here.
Believe me, most of us won't let GC situation drive our lives and will succeed no matter where we will be and will make sure to be helpful and grateful to all people and the country we are in. May be it's India or US or Canada or else ...

All: In my view what has happened here is usually referred to as "amnesty" In the plea deal, the USCIS and DOS will not be subject to investigation and the community receives its July Bulletin. Although not fair, it is exactly what it is..... a PLEA deal.

Hello All,
Employer A filed my I-140 and it was approved. They refused to provide me the approval notice but provided me the receipt#.
Later I moved to company B. Now company B is starting my green card process.
They said I can port my priority date If I have the I-140 approval notice.
My questions are
1) Is it possible to request USCIS a duplicate copy of my I-140 approval notice
using either g-639 (FOIA) or I-824 (Action on an approved application or petition) or any other method as I have my receipt#?
2) I don't know whether or not employer A revoked my I-140. Can I used it
to port priority date even if my I-140 is revoked?

My niece get a visa denial yesterday.
The consular said that she cannot speak English therefor they cannot issue a student visa for her to come to study 8th Grader in the US. What should I do to help her now. She really want to come study here.

Did you LC mention the requirements for your job. Unless it emphasized that a Masters was needed for your job profile on an LC, I140 will be denied. File an MTR right away along with a new I140 uner EB3. Beleive in god and ur priority dates will remain the same as they were. Make sure that the new I140 under EB3 matches your LC.

All they need to do is add "text message" functionality and a new Cascaded Style Sheet.

It is pretty vague. They may just make some cosmetic changes for the existing website. I dont see anything new here. I hope they prove me wrong!

Hello all,
Could someone who are recently travelled via London Heathrow, please let me know what all should be done in order to obtain the DATV visa?
My flight stops there for under 2 hours (for cleaning and refuelling), and I was told I need to get the DATV since my visa expired and my approved AP alone is not enough.
Though I have gone through the required websites, i would still appreciate info from any one who recently experienced getting the DATV and travelling via London. Do I need to send I-485 receipt notice original and EAD as well?
Or is it enought to send the online application, passport, photo and AP originals?
Is there anyway to do everything in person, including handing over documents?
Also, it would be great if you could let me know how long it took to get the visa and your documents back!
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
