There is no point, but lots of people will tell you "you need all the room you can get." I stream all of my media content to my xbox. I only use the hard drive for downloadable games, game saves, and to "install" disc games to the drive. You can use a usb drive (16GB max) instead of a hard drive on the xbox.
There are 2 very good reasons for having a large hard drive, especially on the 360. You mentioned the game installs. That is the best reason ever. Not only do many games load things a little quicker, but the console becomes much quieter. The disc drive on the 360 is the source of much of its noise. By installing, you keep that drive from spinning while playing, and the system is MUCH quieter.
But also for downloadable stuff, which you mentioned. More and more games are releasing lots of DLC, and that can really add up. I have well over 12GB just in DLC for the games I own, and a little over 2GB in XBLA games. Now sure, as you said, you can use a USB drive. I wonder why the iTunes store video downloads were upgraded in size recently but no current iPod can take advantage of this new format. I still speculate that we'll see a new larger format Video iPod that can do double duty for us photographers.
All 5G iPods with upgraded firmware to 1.2 can play the iTS movies just fine.

It probably depends on the specifics of the network you want to build, but overall, I always found it ridiculously easy to build a Mac OS network than a Windows one.

The apple provided tableview cells have their own rules about size and positions of their labels and imageview. If you write a subclass and override layoutSubviews you can adjust the imageview according to your rules.

I was running through matches this past weekend, and nearly all my settings were medium, and 2d portrait. Using the dedicated graphics card (low end model with 256MB).
It ran fairly well for a beta, I had a few crashes but not graphics related. Upon starting up SC2 the opening menu is choppy, but the game is extremely playable. And even more so if you were to set your settings on low.
Either way it will be exciting come July 27.
(I'm planning on getting the new mac pro, and boosting the graphics, and game it out!):cool:

One thing that is important to investors is the ranking of units shipped (in comparison to other companies.) Apple is currently 4th behind Gateway -- but VERY close!! Q4 2006 should bring Apple to the 3rd place for US shipments in America, behind Dell and HP. That will turn a lot of heads. Well, it was pretty great while it lasted, but we all kind of saw this coming I think. At least they're replacing these channels with equal alternatives... Comedy Central = Jewelry Television and FX = Home Shopping Network, right? Points for effort at least... After years of bending over its customers, at least TW did do something cool; if only for a couple weeks...

There is no way this is legal, and he is now going to have the wrath of Apple's legal department coming at him... and probably also the FBI since this is an international deal. If Foxconn sold him the parts, then they are likely violating all kinds of things with Apple.... so they would never do it legitimately. Had he designed and manufactured his OWN white panels and design, he'd be fine... but this is a young kid that doesn't have the maturity to realize he's into something that he shouldn't be and he's probably going to be paying dearly for it. His best move would be to disappear as quickly as possible.
Just for those who thing this is a hand-slap kind of thing, I worked on a project where someone leaked an industrial design on a product and the FBI arrested them and they were facing 75 years in federal prison for it. This kind of stuff can get you more years than killing someone.

This survey is seriously flawed. I've been unable to secure an AT&T iPad within the 3 stores near me.
Verizon iPad? They have them, at all combinations. Wi-Fi? Hit and Miss, but AT&T iPads are gone.
Maybe they made way more Verizon iPads? Seems like they would not??? Also, could be that so many iPhone customers in the US are AT&T, they are just naturally migrating to what they know.
