Please provide me exact dates of approval for all transfers L1/H1 and your dates of employment.

Aah_GC: Lawyer might not have received it from USCIS otherwise irrational would not be writing it here :) Many who filed during July 07 fiasco have not received the 485 receipt notices (lost in mail) from USCIS.
irrational: For EAD renewal, you can use your biometric notice as a proof of filing for I-485 to extend EAD and you make sure give correct A# on the form , with this USCIS should be able to pull your records. Also write a cover letter stating that you have not received the 485 receipt notice from USCIS, thats it. Nothing to worry, Go ahead and file without 485 receipt notice copy.

I read dailykos.com, a liberal blog site, often. Recently, there has been a spate of postings there that are anti H-1B and anti high tech immigration. One example, from today, is: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/3/28/82450/4208. I have been posting comments as cacophonix.
dailykos.com is the most powerful and most popular liberal blog. Opinion that gets set there is influential with Democratic legislators. There is significant support there for high-tech immigration, but I think the tide could easily turn.
I need help from fellow IVers in refuting such ridiculous diaries as the one above. Please register and follow developments there, and please post responses when these issues come up.
I can't stress this enough: dailykos has a strict trolling/abuse policy. If you lose your cool and start abusing, you will get banned in a flash. So please be courteous.

On a separate note Logiclife response was spot on and I hope IV will follow in the footsteps of dailykos in dealing with the nonsense mongers.
I will take this opportunity to bring some anti-h1 rhetoric and h1 bashing that happens in our very own IV site!!!!!!!. I don’t want to name the individual who specializes in h1 bashing, so as not to make it a personal attack on that individual. A few days ago I posted a message on one of the threads in IV saying day by day reading some responses on h1 bashing makes me feel like I am on an anti-immigrant website rather than a website fighting for legal eb immigrants.
It feels sad and disheartening to see some members attacking h1 when they themselves are on h1. By attacking h1 they are attacking the very movement and people that IV is trying to help. Sure there are some abuses on h1 but lets not attack h1 like anti immigrants. Let’s fight the people outside who attack h1 and this community but let’s also clean our own house as well and not parrot the same anti h1 rhetoric in IV forum.

Hi All,
I have my labor filed and approved for EB3 March 2005 PD. My I140 too has been approved in June 2007. I filed for 485 on July 2nd. I would like to know whether I can now start a fresh EB2 and also apply for I140 and use the older Eb3 priority date of March 2005. I have not changed my company I need guidance for experts in this regard.
Just for information, my I140 was approved after I had applied for 485

What will be my options to maintain my immigration status in the following scenario:
AC21 is not filed after joining the new employer (new job since 2 months).
If the previous employer revoked the I-140.
Have the same job/role and responsibilities with my new employer.
No gap between previous and new current employer.
Status of I-140 remains approved and I-485 remains pending in USCIS website.
Should I proceed AC21 filing immediately? Is there anything need to be done in order to keep the immigration status legal?
I would really appreciate your valuable suggestions.

Which state are you in? In CA you can drive till one year with foreign license. In case there is a traffic violation , or for some reason he breaks a red light the fines are 3 times the regular fine since he wont hold a USA license.
Also the insurance companies have different requirements which you need to confirm with them.

I was looking at the discription but couldn't figure it out. Which category does parents fall into? Does anyone know hot long it takes for parents to receive GC under ROW?
Only US citizens can apply for parenst . There is no quota for it and so no backlog. July the processing delay which si not much.
