Has anyone claimed unemployment benefits in EAD in TX state after being laid off? Can you please tell whats the procedure. I do not want to get into the debate of whether UB can be claimed while in AOS state? I just need to know the procedure. Thanks.

Mention clearly what is indicated in job requirements. If the labor did not allow for BS in any enggg or related engg and just asked for BS in CS your I-140 will be denied for sure. No need to wait for the denial. Why did your attorney filed a labor like that for you knowing you do not have BS in CS.

I am using a labor substitution (dated 2005) that requires BS + 3 years. I had only 2 years experience by 2005. But I have an MS degree in related field. Would this be ok? Would MS+2 years suffice for a labor for BS + 3 years?
Please respond soon. I have prepared all my paperwork for I-140 and I-485 and meeting the lawyer tomorrow. I am planning to file by Monday. My stupid attorney told me only today that the experience mismatch can be a problem.

H-1 option exists no doubt. But the number of places one can apply and the concomitant increase in the chances of getting a residency increases with the option of EAD!

Guys, this is another great reason of why to change your mind and ATTEND THE RALLY! Let's force CNN to put us on their screens and laugh in Lou Dobbs' face! We can at least reply to his lies in a forceful yet peaceful and educated way (something he isn't!)
One thing I don't understand is how come this guy used the words bastard, communist china(all the time),cheap labor for computer programmers and he is so full of himself. Why does he have problem if US borrows flights from russia to transport vehicle?

Can you imagine this. USCIS had been given strict guidelines from DHS to complete every case in 6 monts depending on the form type.

Here is an idea: say we have roughly 500 members out of this vast array of 35000+ members who have the heart and the will to contribute. we get $2000 from each and place it in an escrow trust account that does not release money for expenditure unless we reach $1 mln
We need to identify number of people who can really make a big chunk of one time contribution (like $500,$1000,$2000), and we should aim at scoring atleast 2000 committed members, so that per person share would be $500. Once we have the pledge from committed members; IV shall announce the fund raising day (instead of fund raising thread) in advance, all committed members will contribute the same day (optimistic).

We don't really work that hard to make that money, If you worked during your undergraduate years in slaughter houses like McDonalds and Pizza hut, you would know what the value of money today, most of them are paid by their parents,
Most of the desis are creative but lazy at work (esp. people in my company), so they work long hours, Can not read complicated text, especially from Insurance companies
and some of them are look backwards as lawsuits are taboo, terrible balance between work and life, procrastination, and finally, not understanding of how to make use of simple, dummy proof American legal system to solve tiny and simple problems like insurance payments and rejections.

There is nothing wrong in asking but the attorney has no right to reveal the information to you although some do. Did you try to make that request through your employer?
I think some members requested a copy of 140 approval notice from USCIS by filing a freedom of information request. Not sure how though.

EB5 is always current. Last year they only issued 346 visas to this category.
It takes at least 500.000$ :cool: to get one.
